The Egyptian Businessmen Association held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Artūras Gailiūnas, Ambassador of Lithuania to Egypt, Mr. Darius Neviolis, Deputy Head of Mission and Head of the Political and Economic Section, Mr. Tomas Krylavičius, Chairman of the Lithuanian ICT Association (InfoBalt), and Ms. Laura Gubojaitė, Head of Export and Market Development at InfoBalt. The meeting was also attended by Eng. Mahmoud Metwally, Vice Chairman of the EBA’s ICT Committee, Ms. Naglaa Akl, CEO of Benefit Marketing Agency, and Eng. Sherif Raga, Director of Digital Services at ACT.

Key highlights from the meeting included:

  • The Embassy and the Association will work together to enhance communication and business opportunities between companies, aiming to facilitate stronger ties between Lithuanian and Egyptian business communities.
  • Egypt is considered a large market and could serve as a gateway to African countries, just as Lithuania could be a platform for reaching European markets.
  • The Association was invited to organize a business delegation to visit Lithuania and participate in the Digital Summit, which will take place from 9 to 11 April 2025. The summit will cover a range of sectors including Artificial Intelligence and FinTech.
