Promoting trade and business relations between Egypt and Australia

It was a pleasure for our CEO, Ms. Nagla Akl, to meet with H.E. Dr. Axel Wabenhorst, Ambassador of Australia to Egypt, at the #Australian Embassy in Cairo, as part of our 2025 plan to enhance economic cooperation between Egypt and Australia in the form of trade, R&D and partnerships. The meeting focused on identifying concrete avenues for cooperation across key sectors in Egypt and Australia’s strengths in innovation and sustainable development.

Discussions explored opportunities in agri-tech, smart water management, renewable energy especially green hydrogen, mining, tourism, and digital transformation. This dialogue reflects our broader mission at New Benefit to build international bridges that translate into real business and investment outcomes.

In 2023, Egypt’s exports to Australia reached approximately $42.8 million, while Australian investments in Egypt amounted to nearly $126 million, covering 196 companies primarily operating in industry, services, and tourism. These figures highlight the potential for deeper economic engagement that benefits both countries.

We were also pleased to be joining forces with Mr. Moustafa Ibrahim, Chairman of the Egypt–Australia Business Council (EBA), and Ms. Nancy, Vice Chairman of Keendex International Egypt, whose presence underscored the importance of private sector collaboration in advancing mutual trade interests.

At New Benefit, we remain committed to fostering partnerships that create shared value, support B2B matchmaking, and welcome global investors into Egypt’s dynamic market.
